Laboratory Testing

In house diagnostic testing allows the doctors to quickly and accurately diagnose illnesses or diseases. We recommend yearly wellness testing on all of our patients regardless of age and lifestyle. Since cats are masters at hiding injury and illness, having baseline diagnostic screens on; healthy looking; patients allows the doctors to catch underlying diseases before there any signs of illness. Besides routine laboratory tests, such as fecal examinations for parasites, we perform blood screens, complete urinalyses and other procedures.

Blood Screens

Blood screens give the doctor the ability to access organ function and or malfunction as well as detecting numerous diseases and illnesses that effect the bodies ability to produce hormones, enzymes and normal cells.

Urinalysis

A complete urinalysis can help in diagnosing not only urinary diseases, such as infection, kidney failure, tumors and urinary stones but also other systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus and liver diseases.
